Statue of Liberty

The statue was dedicated on October 28, 1886 too the United States from the people of France.

Standing on the observation Deck.

Standing 151 ft. tall from the base to the torch. With the foundation and pedestal included the full height reaches 305 ft.

The Statue of Liberty brightly lite at night, standing tall and proud in New York Harbor.
The foundation is 65 ft. tall and built in the shape of a eleven point star. The stone pedestal is 89ft tall.
Standing on Liberty Island in New York Harbor.
Made from 179,200 pounds of copper and 250,000 pounds of iron. The total weight is 450,000 pounds (225) tons.
Representing the Roman goddess Libertas of freedom.
The Statue of Liberty was designed by Frederic Bartholdi.
Her extended arm holding the shinning bright Torch during a 4th of July celebration.

Holding a tabula ansata, (Latin for tablet with handles) a tablet evoking the law. Is inscribed with the date of the American Declaration of Independence.
