Seattle Space Needle

The Space Needle was built in 1962 at the Seattle Center for the World's Fair.


Standing 605 feet tall (184 m) equivalent to the height of a 60 story building, 138 feet wide (42 m), and weighing a total of 9,550 tons.
The observation deck is 520 feet (152 m) high.

Designed by two architects, John Graham and Edward E Carlson.

Originally having two restaurants named Eye of the Needle, and Emerald Suites. Both were closed in 2000 for a new restaurant called SkyCity.
